I knew a few Hollywood stunt/doubles in the 60s and they were working on getting a Category in the Academy Awards for 'Stuntman' back then, and it's still not recognized as a 'Category' for an 'Oscar' today. I think the Academy doesn't want to admit just how much work they put into the making of a movie!
