elevil - does nothing for syrinx (its an anti depressant which has side benes for SCI because it calms the nervous system). I've been on it for 15 yrs and had syrinx. 1995 operation by Falci at Craig. Leaked spinal fluid for 16 days. Couldn't blink my eyes without brain pain.   If you have a syrinx and it's growing, pain and loss of motor/sensory will follow. You need mri to detect and monitor. Personally. I recommend the operation as a last resort. I'd never do it again. My spinal cord Doc. said that it sounds like it has caused nerve damage and I may need to try  ( Neurotin or Elevil ) .......
