Yes, I've been wondering
about this too - does anyone know exactly what and whose money this is that her
husband was seeking?
Also, if you're married
to someone who slips into a persistent vegetative state, how do you get a legal
separation or divorce if they can't consent to it? They're not considered
dead, so you're still legally married to them, but it seems like it would be
impossible to make it a legal separation or divorce when they can't sign the
necessary papers or be a party to the legal process. What are you supposed
to do? Anyone in that position would need to move on at some point,
no? I don't think anyone could be expected to stay married and faithful for the
rest of their lives to someone who was brain dead and not participating in any
kind of relationship, right?
