Hi everyone:

I actually live here in Columbus. Because I don't watch the news on television, nor do I read the Columbus Disgust (Dispatch), I was unaware of this story until W posted info about it. My ignorance doesn't mean that the story wasn't covered. I did some investigating and all of the news outlets here in Columbus did stories on this incident. The school board apparently devoted most of their recent meeting reporting on the incident and their response. The principal has been fired and the administrators involved have been put on unpaid suspension, pending the investigation. I have mixed feelings about this story being used in the media and having it get alot of publicity. I am sensitive to the girls privacy and the further exploitation of her. If anything, the students involved should be the ones getting the attention, in a negative way. I do think the students involved should all be charged with sexual assault and those who watched should be charged with allowing it to happen. If you want to make an issue of this and see that the right thing is done. Contact the Ohio Legal Rights Center @ http://olrs.ohio.gov/ASP/HomePage.asp This agency is charged with protecting individuals with disabilities with legal action. Also: Ohio Statewide Independent Living Council@ http://www.ohiosilc.org/ and lastly: the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council which has as one if it's missions to protect individuals with disabilities from domestic violence and sexual exploitation @ http://www.ddc.ohio.gov/

 Just my 2 sense,

River

Perhaps, there is something that we can all do. Send an email letter to
the
editor of
the Columbus Newspaper with your feelings. Use your spell check before
sending the
emails. This is wrong. When the editor of that newspaper starts receiving
letters
to the editor from all over the world, they will know that we are not
sleeping and
letting this slip by. Send a note. 5 words, 10 words or 100 words. It
will
be printed.
Let us not rest until that young girl is respected.

this

4 dozens of kids 2 watch a disabled girl get raped while some fool
