I know that for "specific questions" on how the Urocycler works .. to call & ask but, for example, the site says:

"The UroCycler® is an automatically
cycling valve that restores near normal bladder function.

This innovative, anti-reflux valve attaches to an indwelling catheter. When urine pressure reaches a level that indicates a filled bladder, the UroCycler®’s ceramic magnets separate to open the valve and allow the bladder to void. Then the UroCycler® closes and near normal rhythmical filling and flushing cycles continue."

Note that it reacts to a "filled bladder."  Those of us with foleys have collapsed bladders because they are immediately emptied via the foley.  I can't even get close to a "full bladder" before it leaks out & around my cath ... uncool.

So if we can't have 'filled bladders' for the cycler to recognize & work ... how CAN it work?

I had a reflux test done once in an x-ray room.  They SLOWLY forced saline in my bladder to see if it looked like I had reflux to my kidneys.  I didn't ... good news.  But that's totally different than letting my bladder drain normally.

The people at Urocycler make it sound good but???  Plus expense.
