Bladder sizes vary among people in wheelchair on cath systems. Most have also experienced some form of bladder shrinkage due to nonuse. The ceramic magnets are set for back pressure, not on the size of anyone's bladder. Backpressure can happen with a bladder that is only 25 % full. When the magnets separate the urine empties with turbulence, washing and stirring the urine as it makes its exit. When the back pressure subsides, the magnets restore and continue to wait for more back pressure. But it sounds better when it comes from the lips of a doctor, not mine. Some people will not benefit, but most will. W

They SLOWLY forced saline in my bladder to see if it looked like I had reflux to my kidneys. I didn't ... good news. But that's totally different than letting my bladder drain normally. The people at Urocycler make it sound good but??? Plus expense. >>
