I had a manual Redman chair that was just OK but nothing special.
Within the first 2 years, the frame broke twice at a weld and I took it to them
for fixing the 1st time but the 2nd time mailing it back for $50 or delivering
it back from my place in Phoenix, (Redman is in Tucson) was more than I wanted
to do. I replaced it with another and then about 10 years later I decided
to take it to them to get the 'life time' guaranteed frame re-welded. They
refused saying "Just how long do you think a lifetime warranty is good for
anyway?" I was thinking MY lifetime, not the chair's which was obviously
at the end. What a crappy company to deal with. Buyer be warned,
stay away from Redman. They have since stopped making manual
wheelchairs.
And yes, your insurance company is dropping the ball too. Bend over
dude, and grab your ankles.

thought I'd forward a copy of an email I received recently from a nice guy

insurance company who has tried to do everything a cheap as
possible. Copy him in your response to me regarding your thoughts on
his complaint. W

we got it in September, been making adjustments, changing parts etc. Every
time I get someone to work on it something else is wrong. I've had people
change the Omni display box, joystick, brain box, backrest, install
laterals, hours of programing you name it we have done it. Only company
support was telephone and emails no traveling technician like guaranteed.
Got in chair Sunday (tried) and Omni display showing same error code as
months ago before new one was installed. I'm tired of fixing something I
haven't used!
I guess I'm curious what options do you think I have? I
had to argue with insurance company to get redman chair against there
better jjudgment they had trouble once before with them. Do you think I'm
screwed or what? I figured you'd be non-bis opinion, where do I
start?
