I live in 1 of these type apartment dwellings. I like it and hate it. There is the thing that everyone has equal needs and understanding of needs and help around if needed during daytime periods. There are 24 units out here 12 2bedroom apts. 12 1bedroom apts. They totally accessable and the mini laundry room as described. I call them the WHEELCHAIR PROJECTS since everybody is in a wheelchair and as in projects only a few work or try to improve on their current situation. Content to live on the system. Complain about living situation but do nothing to change them. We are segregated being everyone is in a wheelchair. I'm tired of living below the poverty level, I want my own home. I'm tired of my neighbors watching my every move they don't have much of a life so they watch my life like its a soap opera. We don't need cameras out here during the day or BIG BROTHER. But at night after everyones in bed we're pretty much helpless without our phones. Now I appreciate the apts. Because it gave me a place 2 transition 2 after or out of the nursing home. Now I'm ready 2 transition 2 my own home. I feel that it is a double edged sword. You can use it 2 better yourself through your transition with your sci or stunt your growth get complacent and just settle. IT'S TRULY 1000% BETTER THAN ANY NURSING HOME I'VE LIVED IN OR VISITED. :)
