I had to chuckle when I read this post.  Just last week I decided to call my county social worker to find out what would happen to me if I got divorced or if something happen to my wife.  For some reason curiosity got the best to me so I decided to make the call.  I was pleased to find out that my social worker would do everything in her power to keep me out of a nursing home because I'm in generally good health for a quadriplegic and she would do her best to place me in an assisted living complex or into my own apartment or home.  My biggest fear is being on my own but that would be my first choice because of all the freedom.   Jim
