Yes, Greg, I feel the sensation your describing but it's not
limited to a single body part.  I AM in more pain mornings
but always have been.

Some days are better than others and vice versa.  I too take the 12-hr-time-release
Oxy but it doesn't solve everything.

Moving to the heat of AZ has me feeling OVERALL 90% better than in
the cold, drab, clody, rainy, northeast for 20 of my quad years.

No answers but you're not alone.  Julie (quad member here) & I were just
talking about these "new" things that pop up now & then but can't always
tie it 100% to any one thing.

I know mine is prolly from syringomyelia or just damaged nerves.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Arm Pain

I've been waking up with terrible arm pain. In Seattle I slept with 3 blankets, pulled over my ears. Now in AZ I sleep with a very light blanket, and have it folded down with my arm uncovered Lately in the mornings, my arms tingle like they are cold, but I'm not. And my arms are very sore and my spasms are bad. But after I'm up for a few minutes, I feel much better. I do take pain meds and I'm sure they are worn off by morning (12 hour time release Oxy, but it never lasts that long while I'm up) But that can't be it because I feel better after I get up. I wonder if it can be a symptom of my body being over heated. Or maybe just laying in that position too long is causing some kind of pain. But something is causing my arms to tingle, burn yet feel cold, and ach bad. When I get over heated in the day my arms don't hurt. And before if I laid in 1 position too long I would start to sweat.
Anyone else feel this in the mornings?
Greg
