Medicaid to purchase the chair you need and the features you need.  Like anything... ask for all the bells & whistle features.

I wanted a tilt/recline & like you say, I needed a PT to come to the house and do an assessment & a doctor's script (MD). I had NO PROBLEM getting the chair. Basically the dr. wrote up his end on pain relief because I can't transfer myself. I'm on the Medicaid Waiver but I don't think that matters for wheelchairs with just Medicaid.
