Hi  Silas, I was straight cathed for first 3 years of being paralized, then due to complications with blockage and so on the doc told me to get a supra-pubic cath... I have it changed once a month or so. With regular cathing or indwelling you will usually get infections, I think the men who have a condom cath do the best on avoiding infections.                                                                                                  Dan c-6   8years post
