A product known as "Baby Monitors" work well when you live alone and might need help. Golly, a set might go for $20 bucks plus but I pick these up at yard sales and resale shops for a couple of bucks each. They have long ranges and can be plugged in almost anywhere. They also have remotes with long ranges. This way you can be connected to a neighbor or aid in the next room, next building or next high rise. This way, you always have an ear that is listening at night in case of an emergency. Best Wishes W
