Written for yOu all, last evening... I d0n't persOnally kn0w anyOne on this list, but I think I can imagine!
S0 hEre yOu g0...
Sometimes
Sometimes I watch yOu watching the world,
Sometimes I sEe you trapped inside yoUr own mind,
And I wish things could be different...
Relying on motors and whEels-
Not many can understand how that fEels...
But I can.
Sometimes I watch yOu watching the world,
And I sEe one which has failed yOu,
Tolerating a body which has jailed yOu,
And yoU're wishing things were different t0o,
Relying on others for yoUr meals,
Subjecting them to endless appeals-
Not many can understand how that fEels...
But I can.
I marvel at how yOu handle it all sO well,
Accepting what for mE would be a living hell,
In a world that has no time for yOu,
In a world that wants to pass yOu by,
Where every hour a new adventure cries.
Not many can understand how that fEels...
But I can.
But sometimes,
I watch yOu watching the past,
Wishing things were different-
You could write a letter,
You could drive a car,
If only things were better,
If only things weren't how they are;
You could dance to yoUr favorite song,
Or even just sing along...
If only things were different.
Not many can understand how that fEels...
But I can.
Sometimes I watch yOu watching the world,
And I wonder if yoU're thinking the same as mE ;
We live in such a fragile world,
Where fOols take everything for granted;
Worker bees and soldier ants,
Blissful in their ignorance,
And I watch them t0o,
And I don't know what to do,
So I makeUp a joke,
And hope it will make yOu laugh-
I know it's not much to soften the day,
But if it works, then for just two seconds
Maybe a piece of regret is thrown away,
Maybe a part of frustration is held at bay.
Not many can understand how that fEels...
But I can.
Sometimes I think all of these things
In the silence that defines us,
But I can never tell yOu-
But I can tell yOu now,
Today,
Because the passage of time reminds us,
Because yoUr time won't get in my way.
Not many can understand how this fEels...
But l can, l can try a little harder.

SLEEP'S DARK AND SILENT GATE
Sometimes I lie awake at night and wonder
Where my life will lead mE
Waiting to pass under Sleep's dark and silent gate
I found my love too late
Running around day after day
Looking for the time to play
While my old friends slipped away
Never should have had to try so hard
To make a love work out, I guess
I don't know what love has got to do with happiness
But the times when wE were happy
Were the times wE never tried
Sitting down by the highway
Looking down the road
Waiting for a ride
I don't know where I've been
Wishing I could fly away
Don't know where I'm going
Wishing I could hide
Oh God this is some shape I'm in
When the only thing that makes mE cry
Is the kindness in my baby's eye
Sometimes I lie awake at night and wonder
Where the years have gone
They have all passed under
Sleep's dark and silent gate

(c) 1976 SWALLOW TURN MUSIC
Oh, alsO... 1mOre...
"Skyline Pigeon"
Turn mE loose from your hands
Let mE fly to distant lands
Over green fields, trees and mountains
Flowers and forest fountains
Home along the lanes of the skyway
For this dark and lonely room
Projects a shadow cast in gloom
And my eyes are mirrors
Of the world outside
Thinking of the ways
That the wind can turn the tide
And these shadows turn
From purple into grey
For just a Skyline Pigeon
Dreaming of the open
Waiting for the day
He can spread his wings
And fly away again
Fly away skyline pigeon fly
Towards the dreams
You've left so very far behind
Fly away skyline pigeon fly
Towards the dreams
You've left so very far behind
Just let mE wakeUp in the morning
To the smell of new mown hay
To laugh & cry, to live & die
In the brightness of my day
I want to hear the pealing bells
Of distant churches sing
But most of all please free mE
From this aching metal ring
And open out this cage towards the sUn
For just a Skyline Pigeon
Dreaming of the open
Waiting for the day
He can spread his wings
And fly away again
Fly away skyline pigeon fly
Towards the dreams
You've left so very far behind
Fly away skyline pigeon fly
Towards the dreams you've left so very
So very far behind

More philosophy than poetry, but fresh inspired written _expression_, none the less...You never know what you've got until it's gone.
Sometimes when others see what you've lost.
They appreciate what they have even more.
It's easier to go through life believing that everything happens for reason.
This forces us to learn from our experiences.
I often wonder how much of life is predestined.
It's easier to understand, if we believe we have more choices.
In the end it doesn't matter, somehow life is easier if we play into the illusion that we do
have a choice.
The truth is our lives are just a drop in the bucket of time.
So it's important to stay close and support the ones we love.---- andrea murray <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:Hi this poet is Wheelchair WarriorThe WarriorIve been searchingFor my warriorIve been walking!Down tracks of timeIts such a struggleTo seek forgivenessLike chains and shacklesThese ghosts of mineIm crossing over heavens seaWhere my warrior is waiting for meCrossing over heavens seaWhere my warrior is waiting for meFeels like Im dancingWith truth and wisdomPrecious rhythmYou are my guideThese days are sacredMy heart is humbleOh warrior show meThe shinning lightMy dear warrior waits for meOn the other side of heavens seaOh can you hear meI can hear youFar beyond the tracks of timeOh can you feel me I can feel youFeel the power inside my lifeBy The Wheelchair WarriorAndrea Pepler-Murray
