Sorry you couldn't get the demo to work. What *I* want is abt $425. Write to them with YOUR questions. We wrote and askede andns and these were the answers:
I have addressed your questions below:
1. There is no need for a modem. The basestation of the communicator basic has a telephone jack on it and the phone line goes directly into it.
2. Yes, another person can use the phone line with the communicator plugged in. It is like any other telephone device. Also, the Communicator comes with a splitter device so that you can plug in a second telephone into the line that the Communicator is using.
3. We have a 30 day return policy on our system. All you would be responsible for is shipping. There is a 1 year warranty on the hardware (this does not cover the batteries).
4. Any type of adaptive switch will work (sip and puff, microlight, buddy button). We would probably need to speak over the phone to determine which switch is right for her.
5. For our dealer program, we only require that you purchase a demo unit. I would be interested in speaking to you more about this.
