Hi Bobbie,
On my printer I can open it and click on 'Properties' and then click on the 'Advanced' tab. On mine there is an option there for an 'Available From' button that I can set to any time I want. The printer won't work unless it is between that time. You might just want to put 'Pause' on your printer if your "friend" doesn't know much about the computer. Good luck.
