I have also had severe trouble with bad uti's the past few years, My new family doctor just told me I have 3 types of uti infection again this evening-- pseudomonas and endococca something another type i forgot the name. He is putting me on macrobid and levequin now.I just got out of the hospital in October for a pseudomonas uti....that was my 2nd time in hospital to get IV drugs for that type of uti. I'm afraid they keep giving me to many repeated anti-biotics. Does any one know what options a person having an indwelling supra-pubic has ? My urologist who told me to get this supra-pubic now say's he don't have time for all the repeated uti's and to see my family doctor about uti's. I take cranberry capsules regularly and try d-mannose at times also vitamin c. but still can't keep these bad uti's away.
