I  rarely use the handicapped spots.  Usually the lift area isnt big enough but I know it's not going to kill me to push a lil further.  I need the exercise anyways.  If you have an electric chair then it shouldn't be that big of a deal IMO.  I just park a lil far away and take up two spots.  I'd rather see the spot go to someone elderly that has a hard time walking.

Many women have problems with their pregnancies.  I know my Mom had a hard one and so did my Aunt.  My Aunt had bed rest twice.

If one armed people are actually being issued handicap parking permits it is absolutely ridiculous.  There is no justifiable reason by any stretch of the imagination unless they have another disability which effects their mobility.

That's cool but I would think it's the doctors recommendation that should dictate who is deserving of a disabled permit?
I mean maybe not all regular pregnancies deserve these permits but I'm sure some are when you think about it they give one armed people disabled permits but I've never seen any complaints about that.

Dear Mark,

Handicap parking in my area CT,NY,and NJ is totally abused by fake permits, people just running in etc.  I usually park across two spots and hope no one hits me as they are backing out as I traverse the parking lot.

Some stores have "Expectant moms" spots.  Great!!  Pregnancy is NOT a disability requiring a handicap permit.

The local news WCBS_TV did a story @ NJ legislature wanting to put a bill through to let pregnant women park in handicap spaces.

I am trying to find out what idiot proposed this idea so I may write a letter. Has anyone heard of this?
