Monty is now looking at Youngstown, Ohio as a possible
relocation site. Anyone out there know anything about
it, especially as far as a quadriplegic being able to
find housing, quality care, transportation, etc, etc?
Anything you can tell us would be good. He has spoken
to Voc. Rehab. out there and they told him there are
two other quads in town that use their services. The
caseworker is supposedly going to give Mont's phone
number to one of them so he can talk to them. While we
are waiting for that to happen, I thought I would ask
you guys. Thanks!  Cathie B.
Katie,
I'm fron Lorain/Elyria Ohio. (30) miles west of Cleveland. I've always heard Youngstown is not a very nice place to live. A large history of crime. In the western suburbs of Cleveland, there are some very nice neighborhoods, Parma is a one of them. There is a hospital on the west side, Metro-Health Medical Center that has an SCI floor and SCI out patient center. On the east side of Cleveland there is the Cleveland Clinic. The eastern suburbs are pricey. But no matter where you live in the greater Cleveland area, both hospitals have Clinics in many neighborhoods.
