And I've found that MEN of CHARACTER stay with ANYONE when the going gets EXTREMELY rough (understatement).
Only exceptions would be infidelity, drugs and/or abuse.
I began dating at age 19/20 (4 yrs post injury). THAT first date was with me 12 yrs and, yes, when things got rougher for
me healthwise ... he began to change and then split.

I was married 6 years before my SCI in '76. We were divorced in '91, and I started dating soon after that. I have found that mentally strong women are attracted to men in wheelchairs! ;-)
