Dave and anyone who has a minivan:
What is the exact
model? What is the floor to ceiling dimensions? Would there be
room for a per mobile chair in ? How did you find it and where would
you look for one something like that? I saw web site for
ahttp://www.wheelchairgetaways.com/map/austin/sales.htm but they wanted
28,000 for a 94.
What is the going price for minivans and which ones are tall enough for
Permobile . I have a 93 Ford E-150, but the gas is astronomical.
Minivans seem to be so much more expensive? Would the gas mileage savings
make up the difference of the cost of the long run?
How do all of you find your vehicles for a good price. How much are
modifications, if you buy one? what kind of modifications are the most
reliable for ramp or lift or anything else. It seems really complicated, as
I know nothing about minivans and have never even been in. I want to
gather information so I would even know what to look for as repairs become
too costly.
Your opinions and experiences would be greatly appreciated!
If you always have a regular size van in change to a mini, compare the
differences.
Thank you so much. Dana

Nice Van, Dave! Remember with the minis and van kneeling, no
automatic car washes.
The center and side pullers are known to damage the arm on the lowering
system. Cost to repairs exceeds the value of a carwash.... and then
some. Does it have a Braun Conversion?

I tried the big ford e250 van, didn't like it. too big
too..... bulky, and I wasn't crazy about the UVL. too many moving
parts - too fragile hanging down just waiting to get bashed. I then
saw the mini-van kneeler - terribly cool albeit a bit pricey. 40k
for a new one but 'only' 20k for a previously owned. I REALLY like
it. ---> Dave's
