Its that time of the year.  No, beside Spring and Summer.  It's the official opening of the Organ Donation Season.  Its not always a willful act for many.  Its not always a willful choice.  Its the annual time of the year when people, usually young people, do things that others might consider carelessly stupid.
Could be doing a wheelie on a motorcycle, on the highway in heavy traffic, doing 100 mph.
Could be a serpentine weave, without the benefit of directional, on a busy street in heavy traffic.
Could be pulling out into busy traffic, with a load of others in the car, without the benefit of looking both ways.
Could be the perfect ending to a night of partying, after the prom.
Whatever the cause, the results often present a decision to render precious organs so that others may begin or once again live life the way it should.  Why not make it easier.
Sign that organ donor card.
Prom Tickets should be sold with an "Organ Donor Card" on the back of it.
Motorcycles should come with a keychain and the Organ Donor Card attached.
Traffic citations should also be stamp'd with an Organ Donor Stamp.  Perhaps it will make people reconsider the value of their lives.  Perhaps it won't.  If it doesn't, you have a real organ potential.  Capture the moment.  Save the organs.  Its recycling at its finest.

Best Wishes For a Safe and Sane Summer, fall and winter!
