I was 205 at 5'6. I'm now down to 135. I've kept my weight down for 2 yrs now. At first, skip breakfast and eat soup and salads for lunch and dinner, then my mom told me about the Atkins Diet. I didn't go totally by it but did cut the bread n pasta n potatoes n most carbs. I did eat a Hamburger I would just take off the top bread or bottom depending on which one had all the stuff on it. I started eating breakfast i'd have a hard boiled egg and bacon or scrambled egg and sausage. When I wanted to eat something sweet I would just eat a lil at that time that way you don't over gorge yourself, because if you try to wait you want it more an more. I also, drink diet drinks or I'll eat sugar free cookies or sugar free candy. And drink alot of water. You need to try not to make your body think your dieting. I'm a c6c7 quad so I am able to push my self in a manual which I used until I got my power chair, but I still try to use it a couple of days
a week. I still feel like I have a quad gut, except when I'm laying flat on the bed. I know it's just from sitting wrong that I don't have back support.

I was 270+ when I was injured and lost 40 pounds in rehab and then within two years I gained 60 back and then I lost my 60+ pounds because I was on the Atkins diet but then I wanted to change my diet a little bit so I started to eat more foods with carbohydrates and now I have gained at least 20+ pounds back and I'm in the process of trying to lose it again.Jim
Why expect the worst when it will probably never happen? Wipe those gloomy thoughts from your mind and focus on what's going right instead. Havingf a positive outlook can change the outcome in so many ways.
