I was told my chair must last 7 years and still wont be replaced if it can be repaired for less than 50% of the cost of a new chair. I have a tdx3 with tilt in space, recline back, legs, anti shear back, full footplates(not heel plates). It'll be 3 years old in may. If it lasts 5 years Ill be surprized. It is gettin loose in the joints, just like me. I had a friend that had a pere mobile. He had it for 14 years. it did everything mine does plus elevate and the onboard computer was adjustable. It's batteries were much larger and it could go some serious distances between charges. Since the charger was built in you could simply plug it in at any 110 outlet. He got the chair bought for him by a church. My chair was purchased with medicare rules and it still took 11 months to get it ok'ed.
