I just had a secondary closure done for the 2nd time. I was out for
about 2 hours with a general anesthesia. I had a perileal abscess drained last
August and my 1st secondary closure performed in January. It didn't
close and kept draining about 30-50 cc of fluid a day. I've used up all my
granddaughter's old diapers soaking up the mess. Now the last closure
appears to be re-opening as I'm draining again. The doc said he will turn
me over to a wound care center here in town, he's baffled. The going
under and coming out was no problem - just drowsy for a day or two. Good
luck.
