Like the topic of sex, it seems we always come back to talking about
relationships and isolation. Personally I am reluctant to ask people
to come over or hang out, my house is always a mess !! with 2 artists
living here it gets pretty cluttered. For example right now there's
a belt sander in the living room a huge bucket of gesso, a box of
wood strips to be painted, sawdust all over everything. I digress.

I also am reluctant to ask folks out for the fear of rejection, been
there and really hate that. That's just not fair to the other person
though, you're not giving them any choice to say no, or another time
would be better. I think we experience rejection all of the time,
whether you realize it or not. No representation in the movies, TV,
general public etc...being left out leads to feelings of rejection by
society and leads to isolation. Soooooo it takes some hutzpa and a
good does of self-confidence to put oneself out there. Personally, I
am pretty lazy about, that I have my partner and two close friends
who would do anything for me, and vice versa I don't have the time
or energy for anyone else at this point.

Funny story

When I fell out of my chair, or should I say my 100lb german shepherd
puppy pulled me out of my chair; I was in front of Petsmart and some
people (2-3) took notice but others just walked right by !!!!!!! My
partner had to flag someone down
to help her pick me up UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Funny hey,but sad in the same context. I have 9 brothers and 5
sisters. Before my spinal injury,if it was happening it was
happening at my house most weekends, sometimes even longer. If
somebody needed numbers i was number 1. Hmm,wonder how they are
these days although 1 bro' has stuck by me and,he will go to
extremes for me. Thanks.
