Hi Jim. Welcome to the boards.  I may not be able to assist you at this time.  But I just wanted to let you know that you have referenced some very notable individuals.  Mercedes
Raun, Executive Director of the Chicago, Illinois Chapter of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association.  The Chicago Chapter is the largest chapter in North America.
Jim Lubin, is also a very high profiled individual.  I hope that you take the time to visit Jim's website.  He has set a very high example of what a human can do for another human being.
Also, before anyone can advise you what you should consider... we have to realize what you can't do.
I know of one young man in the LaGrange Area who is a C3 complete on a vent, who is a day trader and plays the stock market successfully.  He started in the nursing home, watching the daily quotes.  His father is a CPA and started referring some of his clients to his son for stock advice.  But I also realize that not everyone is cut out to buy and sell stock.
There is another woman in the Western Surbs of Chicago that  is a scooter user and was a very successful travel agent.

Again, welcome to the boards!

Hi Jim

My name is Edward and I was told to speak to you by Mercedes, the director of the Illinois spinal cord Association, because she thought you might provide me with some insight or advise on how I may achieve employment either inside or outside the home.

I have struggled with the setbacks because of my medical condition and seeking outside employment has been discouraging.  As a result, I thought I might look into working from home and learning what kind of opportunities are available to me in this setting.

I hope you could take some time out all your schedule to give me some advice on seeking employment by working from your home and or private workplaces.

Sincerely,

Edward Awe
