Barb, I was also injured at 19. July 1, 1986. I know this won't be very reassuring but in terms of sci you're still very new. I'm sure everyone on this list has had days or even much longer periods where they asked themselves "what's the point?" It can take time to figure out what to do next. You're at the age where you may not have had much of an idea what you wanted to do next with your life without a sci. You've already taken a big step in the right direction by contacting us. I met my wife 14 years after my injury and we're expecting a baby next month. The best advice I can give you is to stay busy with anything. It keeps negative thoughts from taking over.
