Yeah, Ron  I gave up driving, I just let my wife now, but my 1st van was a Dodge Ram Passenger Bus -- I found it in the paper for $500 bucks, It was a HUGE MONSTER and rusted too  LOL I had to put a new gas tank and tune up on it but it got us by 3 years It was a 1983 no air and a gas hog, but man I was glad for the price because at the time it was all we could afford. On some narrow streets when my wife would make a turn she would hit the curb it was so big LOL   We now have a 1995 chevy Asto Mini-Van and she loves it-----it even has air. ;-)                            Dan

hi,
My first van was a 1984 Ford full size van, with a crow river side lift, electric barn doors, swivel seat and hand controls...also had a 4 inch floor drop. I found the van in the paper the guy wanted 3500. I went to illinois to look at it and the old man pulled it out of a barn, 70s paint style and all. I was about to leave and the guy said would you take it for 1500, I said yes I will. the van wasnt that bad but had a carbuerator. This made starts a challenge because Id have to give it gas to start and kinda break torque it until it warmed up. A 400 carb rebuild solved that prob. Anyway i drove the van four years....until one night I was driving it to the movies...the oil light went on and the engine started knocking... pulled it over in time, but the oil pump went out. I donated the beast to the blind. LOL
