We like to buy numerous things in bulk because it is my husband who has to do the grocery shopping and, unlike females, he doesn't want to have to go running to any store (including Wal-Mart) even every two or three weeks.
Our current choice [6 yrs] is Cosco where we buy paper towels, toilet paper, olive oil, laundry detergent, aspirin, etc. etc. etc.. These things left us a long time and our list includes about 25 items. Depending.
But their prices have gone up a little over the past year and we aren't sure if we are going to renew our subscription. The thing is --80% of my medications are cheaper there than anywhere else.

Funny thing about the American consumer, we want clean air, clean water, good living conditions, good health care yet we aren't willing to pay for anything manufactured under these conditions.
They should just change the name to "The Great Wall" mart and fly a communist flag out front.

Cheap prices, everything under one roof. Guess I'm missing something. You WANT to pay higher prices for local labor? You LIKE driving all over for your weekly supplies?

My husband feels the same way, Mark. He says that Sam would be spinning in his grave if he were able to see how much Wal-Mart has gone downhill.

I can't stand WalMart.
When Sam Walton was alive everything in WalMart was made in America and I loved it and then the spoiled rotten communist children took over and ruined his lifes work.
At one time they were sued for advertising Chinese made products as American made. |
