I tried one of these and didn't like it at all! I drove it over their obstacle course and my chair performed better. As for balancing on two wheels - I sure didn't feel safe. I know they have back up gyros and such but everything fails sooner or later. I wouldn't want to be in that position when something gave out! There are other chair manufacturers that have elevating seats but you stay on four wheels - much safer.

The only option they have that other chairs don't is the ability to climb up and down stairs. But it's not automatic. You have to be able to use your arms to grab the stair railings and give a fairly good tug for every step - and it's a bumpy ride! They don't work on curved stairs or stairs without sufficient landing space.

Save your money and time and push for ramps.

These guys travel around and offer free trial rides to see if you 'qualify' for one.   And by that I don't necessarily mean money.  A high level quad won't qualify as there is no sip n puff adapter.  I don't remember the qualifications but I'm sure you can email them and ask.
This is DEFINATELY the Cadillac of power chairs.  Oh, it is NOT certified to be used as a driving chair. (yet)  I'm saving up tho - if I can get one of my 'dot-coms' to take off..... watch out.
