-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------For the past nine years I have been usinga portable phone with a headset mostly when I am in bed so it is hands-free but I can also clip it to my clothing or strap to carry around the house with me and have the headset on my head so that I do not have to use a Speakerphone all the time.I have gotten this phone from RadioShack the last nine years but we went to our local store and they do not carry them any longer. Well, they had a very similar one but the buttons were so tiny that I can not use it.Very disappointing because they were quite reasonable [$29.95 or $35.95]They do not take up much room at all as one good feature and the second major feature was that they had big buttons. They also came in cool colors like blue or purple.Essentially, the phone itself was probably a size and a half bigger than a deck of cards. I could put the unit into the charger to charge all night long and then use it whenever. The headset was connected directly with a cord. THE HEADSET WAS NOT SEPARATE from the phone.In any case, now I can not find anything similar! It was absolutely perfect for my needs and now I can't find one. To give you an idea of what it looks like you can go to the following site and see. You will see that it is a RadioShack site....This is the exact one we picked up FROM RadioShack today but the buttons are not big enough. Anyway, it gives you an idea of what my other one SORTA looked like. Mine was just a little bit wider to accommodate the bigger buttons.I also live in an area whereby I can not just use voice dialing JUST by saying the person's name. When I lived in New York State ... for four dollars a month for my home phone .. I could get that feature. But that feature is not available anywhere on any plan HERE. Many cell phones come with that option but that is not what I am looking for.Just a nice inexpensive phone like I used to get from RadioShack.Any ideas?
