Linda,

I work for an agency located in Michigan. We specialize in quads and
paras/motor vehicle accidents. I read all the e-mail and I am just so dam
furios that the agencies do that. I once read an e-mail and someone stated
they should have the agencies be held accountable. I totally agree with
that. They should get them for patient abandonment. I don't know what the
laws in other states are, but here in Michigan you don't have to have a
license to open an agency. The company that I work for has been in business
for over 25 years, I've been in the medical field for about 20 years and
with this company for 4 years and we have never left a shift not covered
sometimes if we have to we will send a nurse in to cover that shift. Even
if it only requires a high tech aide. The patients can not be left alone.
Us girls in the office have gone above and beyond to get someone to cover
that shift if needed. Pick up employees/drop them off/offer lots more of
money etc. That really bothers me, because companies who do a great job and
then you have those shit agencies who make us look bad. Believe it or not,
reading all the e-mails on the quad list, I have learned so much.
