Try to keep the area from being overly moist as your wound will not heal if to
wet. Naturally, the more you stay off it the quicker it will heal. I had a sore
in a fold of my skin on my behind and finally decided to stay in bed off of it.
It does help. Possibly look into a cushion that would provide relief for that
area. Have you or your caregiver consulted with a wound care specialist? What
are you sitting on? my wound care specialists recommended using a new products
manufactured by Smith and nephew. Using a product called Solosite on the open
wound and covered with a gauze bandage. On the healed areas and at risk areas I
use a product called Extra Protection Cream Hang in there it will heal. Dan T.

anatomy than the female)

I have an area 1 inch by 1/2 inch, not deep, good granulation, VNA checked and
can find no tract, but it just won't heal.

The problem is that it is under the scrotum where it meets the torso, so
it is always warm and damp.

The VNA has me on protein, vitamins, etc. We have used Progran, a thin
covering that you put over the area, wet with saline and it is absorbed into
the area. No change.

I have now gone to a treatment that we used before, putting a heatlamp for 3
minutes along with neosporin and bagbalm in the AM, up in the chair 4-5 hours,
then put a fan on it for 7 minutes, then neo. and bagbalm. No change.

  Any ideas?
