my doc said there are very few people he would do the mitrofanoff on but i happened to be one of the lucky few. he said it is becoming somewhat of a "trend" in the medical world and some people were wanting it done out of pure laziness. he also said he will only do it if it helps a person become more independent. if they still need assistance after the procedure he felt it wasn't worth it.
