Dear Ms. Rauen,
This email might seem a bit odd and, though I truly hope not, even possibly
inappropriate, but please know I write in the spirit of utmost respect. I am
a Chicago actress and I am beginning rehearsal for a new play by a local
playwright. The play is about 3 people's lives being torn apart by the older
brother's spinal cord injury. I play the fiancee to a man who has become
paralyzed in a car accident; a woman determined to make the relationship work
despite
her love's disability.

With such delicate and serious subject matter, I feel it my absolute duty to
research this condition and speak to actual people who live with SCI so that
I might do justice to this story that will certainly be performed for some
of those touched by this subject. I am not sure where to begin looking for
people who might be willing to speak to me either through email, phone or even
in person about how this disability has effected their lives.

Any information or advice you could offer me in this pursuit would be
greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to
hearing
from you.

Most Sincerely,
Christine Cummings
