According to the deacon at our church at the time- I broke my neck as punishment because I was having premarital sex. In reality though, my boyfriend was racing someone on the highway and lost control of the car. Kaye Some deacon's have been known to pull that guilt trip. Had it been a plumber, he would have blamed the toilet. Had it been a electrician, it would your wiring. The blame game has been around for a long time. Several years ago, I met a very powerful man from Turkey. I was told that he was the 2nd or 3rd most powerful person in that country's politics. He was married to a woman older than himself at the time of his car crash. He was invited by our State Department, back then to do his rehab in Chicago at RIC. He was there for almost 6 months, maybe longer. He had his own private doctor, guards and security. He spoke English very well and we had a chance to talk several times during his last 30 days in Chicago, before he went home. He was Islamic, and a very religious person and he felt that this was HIS fate. He accepted his complete C-4 injury and was prepared to live and lead a long life. I haven't seen him since, but I understand he is doing enough. I always wish for him much success. W

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone.
