Hi Bobbie,
I am not a Buddhist, but I have read a lot about the teachings, and found
many useful ways to live my life with. I do agree with both you and Kaye about
keeping a positive attitude toward ourselves and toward others. I was 22 with
two sons and a wife when I had my accident. I raised my family to love
everyone and everything they met in life, because life is what we make it, not
the other way around. I am proud of my boys, and the way they are raising my
Grandchildren. Their Mother passed away in '98, and I know she is proud of
them, too.
With Love,

I started practicing Buddhism and chanting Me too. I've ALWAYS been a
very, very positive person. My whole family is, I was brought up with a "got to
be a way" attitude. It has helped my immensely through this SCI challenge I
have found my self in almost 34 years now. Don't get me wrong, I went through a
time where I partied a bit too much and experimented with bad things and
people.
You know what got me out of that? A song. A song by James Taylor, "Shower
the people you love with love, show them the way that you feel, things will
work out fine if you want they will"
Attitudes are VERY powerful tools. If you have someone coming to help you
do anything, in the hospital or in your home, if your positive and
appreciative, they will treat you better.
OK, I've rambled enough,
Peace, Bobbie
