Anytime your urine is dark, smells bad, or leaves build up in the line, its almost always your urinay tract. You should have a lab where you could drop off a sample. Ask your Dr. about a permanent order cause he will get the results anyway. I'm a proponent of having a couple of different anti biotics on hand. I keep cipro and bactrim DS. Even though I use an external cath, I'm still very likely to develope a wild infection fast. A supra pubic is wide open to infections. You can even learn to take a peek at your own urine if you can afford the microscope. talk about drifting!(its the drugs, I swear!) Yes get your urine tested asap. john -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, 1 Apr 2007 11:15 AM Subject: [QUAD-L] To John--About sediment and sludge in urine. .AOLPlainTextBody { margin: 0px; font-family: Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, Sans-Serif; font-size: 12px; color: #000; background-color: #fff; } .AOLPlainTextBody pre { font-size: 9pt; } .AOLInlineAttachment { margin: 10px; } .AOLAttachmentHeader { font: 11px arial; border: 1px solid #7DA8D4; background: #F9F9F9; } .AOLAttachmentHeader .Title { font: 11px arial; background: #B5DDFA; padding: 3px 3px 3px 3px; } .AOLAttachmentHeader .FieldLabel { font: 11px arial; color: #000000; padding: 1px 10px 1px 9px; background: #F9F9F9; } .AOLAttachmentHeader .FieldValue { font: 11px arial; color: #000000; background: #F9F9F9; } .AOLAttachmentHeader a, .AOLImage a { color: #2864B4; text-decoration: none; } .AOLAttachmentHeader a:hover, .AOLImage a:hover { color: #2864B4; text-decoration: underline; } .AOLWebSuiteCompose .AOLPicturesFullSizeLink, .AOLWebSuite .AOLPicturesFullSizeLink { height: 1px; width: 1px; overflow: hidden; } body { background-color: white; font-family: "Verdana"; font-size: 10pt; border: 0px; } .AOLWebSuiteCompose p { margin: 0px; padding: 0px; } img.managedImg { width: 0px; height: 0px; } img.placeholder { width: 275px; height: 206px; background: #F4F4F4 center center no-repeat; border: 1px solid #DADAD6 !important; } Hey John.........I just wanted to ask you a question. A while back I think you said that most the sediment and sludge type stuff released in our urine is ( Calcium and or White Blood cells ) Well my question is this........At the end of January I had a large Bladder Stone removed, Every since then I have had never ending sediment or sludge come thru my cath tube....I suspect an infection but a supra pubic wearer always has some bacteria. Do you think after 2 months I should get urine checked ? I'm wondering If a person might be losing to much white blood cells or body calcium? Thanks, To John or anyone wishing to post on this issue.
