I watched Jerry Fallwell and Pat Robinson after 9/11 say that god told them it was because America tolerates homosexuals. I'm not sure which post you are replying to, but I beg to differ. lots of people use religion to keep others in line for one reason or another. Sometimes it's tradition and/or money. and so far, there are two people here who belief may have evidence of that in their lives (I am including myself here). granted, it is people who try to keep other people in line.
