This sure tells you where the GOP is getting contributions from.

What a bunch of thieves!

Hi Dan,

In January, the new Democratic House voted to correct that provision and
allow Medicare to use its bargaining power to get cheaper drugs for seniors.
Unfortonattly, today the Senate GOP blocked a critical vote for America's
seniors.

"The vast majority of Americans want Medicare to negotiate for lower
prescription drug prices. Seniors and their families know there is no
logical reason the federal government should be prohibited from negotiating
with drug makers except to preserve industry profits. Part D is legislation
written by and for industry and drug makers have spent millions ensuring it
will remain so. Senators were given a chance to correct their mistake and
put seniors' needs ahead of corporate profits. Unfortunately today, they
made the same mistake twice and American seniors will continue to pay the
price.".Barbara B. Kennelly, President/CEO

I’m writing to ask you to take immediate action to lower the costs of
prescription drugs.

Several years ago, the Republican Congress passed a prescription drug
program for seniors that actually prohibited Medicare from negotiating
cheaper drug prices with the big drug companies.

That law locked in drug prices for seniors more than twice as high as many
other countries – and huge profits for the pharmaceutical companies.

In January the new Democratic House voted to allow Medicare to use its
bargaining power to get cheaper drugs for seniors.

Next week the Senate takes up a similar measure.

To make sure it passes, call your senators now. Tell them to vote to
eliminate the drug company’s stranglehold on Medicare Drug prices and allow
Medicare to negotiate lower prices for seniors. Click here and make the
call:

The big pharmaceutical companies have spent millions to block this bill and
keep drug prices high. You can make the difference. Don’t put it off. Call
right now.

Just click on this link now to call your senator’s office:

Thanks!
