My extreme empathy goes to all of you that write about so much pain. Do your meds help? I can imagine how miserable you must be . I am one of the lucky ones just experiences pain in my shoulders, neck and back and a lot of stiffness and my spasticity has increased because of a sore on my foot. Sometimes it increases when I have a UTI and I also experience a lot of congestion from the weather and numerous colds and bronchitis throughout the year, both needing suctioning through my trach button. It keeps me out of the hospital which is really good because I hate to go. They don't seem to know how to do quad or have enough staff to feed you and bowel routine and I have tried a number of hospitals in the Kansas City area. I am sure you know what I mean.

Other times it feels like a branding iron is being applied. Even nicer. Both are accompanied by streams of cold sweat. Wonderful. I usually describe the pain on the right side of my neck as being like a horrific sunburn that someone is clawing at with dagger like nails. During the summer my pain seems to be most intense in the mornings and when it is raining, but fortunately it abates after I have been up and moving around for a little while. The winter is a whole other story. Of course, there's also the intermittent burning pain just under my left clavicle.
