Hi Everyone,
Oh brother I could tell you the nites do get rough sometimes. I would love an
environmental control unit but they are too expensive.
After living in a Nursing Home for 5-1/2yrs, you would sacrifice a little
too. I moved out of the NH in 99 & am happy as can be! At that time, my
children were NO support, they did not want me to move, but as stuborn as I am
I said tuff I'm doing it anyway. My friends were very helpful & good staff from
my healthcare agency.
I now have a KCI bed, but the mattress is deflated right now until I get it
fixed, in the meantime I am using my old lumex air flow mattress on top of the
KCI Bed. The KCI Bed is great when it works because it turns me back & forth. I
have a pillow switch button from lifeline. I have my tv remote, mouthstick
holder & stick on the side of the bed that I am laying towards.
Now my kids are more supportive, if they can be reached & they do not want me
to go back to a NH, they love it here.
