time and tide wait for no man - he who hesitates is lost - wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one fills up first - GOD helps those who help themselves - a journey of a thousand steps starts with the first step - success breeds familiarity - nothing ventured nothing gained - and from the masters.... A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds. Opportunity dances with those who are ready on the dance floor. The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. Too often the opportunity knocks, but by the time you push back the chain, push back the bolt, unhook the locks and shut off the burglar alarm, it's too late. If you want to succeed in the world you must make your own opportunities as you go on. The man who waits for some seventh wave to toss him on dry land will find that the seventh wave is a long time a-coming. You can commit no greater folly than to sit by the road side until someone comes along and invites you to ride with him to wealth or influence. Take a lesson from the mosquito. She never waits for an opening -- she makes one. Some men go through a forest and see no firewood. Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out... The measure of success is not whether you have a tough problem to deal with, but whether it's the same problem you had last year. Success is relative. It is what we can make of the mess we have made of things. Don't expect mangoes when you plant papayas. The elevator to success is out of order. You'll have to use the stairs... one step at a time. Successful people are not gifted; they just work hard, then succeed on purpose. One of the secrets of life is to make stepping stones out of stumbling blocks. Not in time, place, or circumstances, but in the man lies success. We are more often treacherous, through weakness than through calculation. In a message dated 6/10/2007 2:20:14 P.M. Does mind-set blossom into accomplishments, or did the existence of security, finance and support give way to success, independence, and accomplishment, even if success is the same as the first go around of independence when young striking out alone in life ? Christianity says to give way to the spirit and grace then all things will come. Predicaments & disasters, or worse is nothing at all coming into a disabled person’s life, as the out come of waiting for a life of satisfaction or an opportunity to enter. 15 years post and trrying to do all things correct, and still waiting on life, a chance, even relationships to begin. This fear scares me more than being a C/5 ever did. Still quizzical how to begin, I’d of thought the mystery would have been lived already.
