They told me I wouldn't be functional at C4/5 with the braces like you'll see
in the films. You have to be C7 or lower. But they told me of a gal that was
a C4/5 that used them to walk down the aisle with a walker on her wedding day.
Someone would have to put them on, help me into a standing position with a
walker, Velcro my hands to the walker and I would learn to throw my hip and
pick up the walker to move forward. Hard for me to believe I could do this at
my level because right now I have no trunk support. For a paraplegic the brace
is at the waist, for a quad they brace you at the chest level.
