Voc Rehab, is not perfect by any stretch of one's imagination. Employees are on state payrolls and are usually overworked, have heavy caseloads and are underpaid. The turnover is also high once people see the work involved. Knowing this info is critical for success. Don't expect VR to do anything. They are rarely pro-active. They are reactive to the needs of their clients. Don't expect them to find you a job. They don't have time for all their clients. VR to a 50-50 relationship. You are expected to do the legwork and VR often can seal the deal. Knowing this relationship... are you willing to take charge of your life, with the help and support of VR. This only part of the recovery process and not expecting others to run or ruin your life. Best Wishes W In a message dated 7/27/2007 3:58:04 P.M. Central Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
It upsets me when I hear about lazy voc rehab counselors, I’ve never used them to find employment but I’ve used him for a bed, a chair, and new Vaio laptop and any thing job related and a bed that wasn’t job related but I thought why not ask and he said no problem. I’m going to ask for a new HTC phone _http://www.htctouch.com/_ (http://www.htctouch.com/) next week for my job and I’ll let you know how that works out.
