We chose to use a fire protection used by professional racers called Halon Systems. Its a holding tank with spider hoses going to all the critical area of potential fires. It's amazing how the smallest things can put us in serious situations. Years ago I had a full size Dodge van and me and my pca loaded up to run an errand but we forgot something in the house. He ran inside to get it and while he was gone smoke began pouring out from under the dash. There were no windows open and it was filling up with smoke fast. When he got back he saw what was happening and got me out pronto. It turned out that a wire had shorted and all the insulation had burned off. Fortunately there were no flames.
