Just out of curiosity, What kind of mattresses do those of you using hospital
beds use. I have used egg crate toppers on regular staw filled vinyl mattresses
and I had a low air loss mattress I was able to keep workingfor 9 years. Now I
have an alternating pressure mattess from ebay that a sister bought. Its
reasonably comfortable but no help with pressure areas. If I have a bad spot
getting red I have to get egg crate under it or this alternating system will
rip the skin apart.
With medicare/medicaid no mattrss suppliers want to deal with me because in
Ohio they often refuse payment on low air loss mattresses. I sure havent got 5
thousand dollars or even 21 thousand for e bay.
