For the last couple of years at least I have been using an alternating air
pressure reducing mattress that is a rental from a local medical vendor.
Medicare pays for the majority and we have to pay something like four
dollars or six dollars every couple of months or something like that. Even
though they like to try to get away with much more.

The only reason I do this is because all air mattresses easily get punctured
or something happens to them in less than a year or so ... so they need to
be replaced and when you are with a vendor they will bring another one out
ASAP.

But I also keep 2 waffle air mattresses (that do not require electric pumps)
on hand just in case I decide to go back to using one of those. I began
using them in 1995 and liked their comfort then. I switched to the rental
alternating air one because... well I can't remember why now unless I
thought it was better for my buttocks, etc..
