I don't think aspirin is advised for flu. Especially for young people. I think it can lead to Reyes Syndrome.

The flu is actually hard to spot untill its widespread. If I were you I would take some aspirin for the low temp and drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest. Theres no pill or cure.
